Our mission is enhance your bond with your dog by creating a shared understanding between the two of you.
Our team of experienced dog trainers take the time to focus on understanding the personality of each dog to ensure they are taking the best possible approach. A patient, kind and compassionate approach gives us the opportunity to earn their trust and learn what makes your pup who they are.
From puppies just learning their manners, to big dogs with bigger personalities, to skittish rescues with meek tendencies, we absolutely love getting to know every animal who comes to us! It’s what allows us to form connections, resulting in trust that leads to success. We work with your pet to build that language that you both share.
At Modified Canine, we believe in really taking our time and creating a positive experience when training a dog, without having to force the training on them through excessive correction.
For this reason, our Board and Train Dog Training Camps typically are at least 3-4 weeks long. This allows us to provide your pup a proper adjustment period and train with an emphasis on gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. During the camp, your dog is trained in a comfortable home setting. It is a loving and realistic environment designed to replicate regular life and routines.
We offer both Puppy Training and Dog Training Camps. Unsure about a camp? Ask about our Daycare training programs!
We stress the importance of early and ongoing socialization and training for all dogs. Dog Trainers generally are faced primarily with problem behaviors created from lack of early training and socialization.
This is why we believe dog training should start as soon as possible in a controlled and safe environment.
Our soft approach with puppies builds confidence in themselves and their owners by gently exposing them to new sensations, surfaces, experiences, locations and people. Raising a well-socialized, confident dog builds trust and makes them less prone to stress, anxiety and problem behaviors.

Generally 3 to 4 weeks depending on the dog and how well they are transitioning.
While our overnight camps and classes cannot be attended until older than four months of age, we do have other programs for puppies with two or more vaccines. Please contact us for more information or visit our Services Page.
We do assist in potty training. While work still will need to be done in their home environment (which we will assist in) we will also work on crate training and longevity while in our care. They are on a strict potty routine with constant supervision.
